Swan EndoSurgical Names Former Stryker Robotics Leader Erik Todd as CEO

Swan EndoSurgical, a startup focused on flexible endoluminal surgical robotics, has named Erik Todd as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

Todd joins Swan after over 25 years of leadership at Stryker. He most recently served as the company’s vice president and general manager of the Robotics and Enabling Technologies division.

He brings extensive experience scaling next-gen robotic platforms, building high-performance global engineering organizations, and driving innovation across endoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, and digital/AI-enabled enabling technologies.

Swan EndoSurgical, first announced in July 2025, is backed by Revival Healthcare Capital and Olympus Corporation and is focused on delivering a fully integrated flexible endoluminal robotic platform for complex gastrointestinal interventions, beginning with advanced colorectal ESD.
